Research

With our participation in research projects, our production is always up-to-date and ready to face the future.

Past projects:

In 2008 we concluded the PRO INNO II project "Entwicklung eines plasmagestützten Vorbehandlungsverfahrens zur maskenfreien, selektiven Mikrostrukturierung von vulkanisierten PTFE-Hochleistungsmembranen" (Development of a Plasma-enhanced Pretreatment Procedure for Selective and Maskless Micro-structuring of Vulcanized PTFE High-performance Diaphragms). The project was not just a technical success. With plasma etching of PTFE, our production has become more independent, more efficient and we have made a further step towards the protection of the environment.

Ongoing projects:

Since the end of 2011, we received funding of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Ministry of Finances and Economy to carry out research on "Titan-PVD-Beschichtung auf Elastomer-Membran" (Titan-PVD-Bondings on Elastomer-Diaphragms).

Together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials (IFAM) we work on the ZIM-project "Aerosolbasierte, VUV-strahlungsvernetzte Primerschichten für Gummi-Metall- und Gummi-Kunststoff-Verbindungen" (Aerosol-based, VUV-radiated Cross-linked Primer Layers for Rubber-metal and Rubber-plastic Bondings). The objective of this project is to realize a novel procedure for the development of a reliable and resource-efficient deposition and production of primer thin-layers for long-term stable and flexible rubber coatings.

We participate in the BMBF-project PORTARSOR for the development and research of new robot arms. For information on the project, please click here.
